PCS Green Line 1512:
for Wind Turbines with Doubly-Fed Induction Generators.
The PCS Green Line 1512 was developed for deployment in wind turbines with doubly-fed induction generators. This power converter is characterised by a low loss rate, an excellent dynamic performance, and its suitability for both on-shore and off-shore wind parks.
PCS Green Line 1512 is constructed as four-quadrant IGBT power converter. The doubly-fed induction generator causes only part of the generator's output - up to 40% - to be fed into the connected grid. The fault-ride-through capability of the PCS Green Line 1512 enables the system to remain connected to the supply during voltage drops for the required period and to feed in a reactive current.
